Zigmas “Ziggy” Polinauskas is an up-and-coming litigator who focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation. Ziggy comes from a litigation practice defending doctors and other medical professionals in medical malpractice lawsuits as well as defending businesses in tort cases. Ziggy also has experience supporting medical practices and medical professionals with regulatory compliance, business issues, and state board matters.
Before entering private practice, Ziggy clerked for Judge Alan Johnson at the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. However, Ziggy’s legal career began much earlier—while pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at the U.S. Force Academy, Ziggy interned at USAFA’s Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. Thereafter, Ziggy worked as a paralegal for a litigation firm and later for the State of Colorado, where he worked full-time while attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in law school, Ziggy was also an extern for Justice William Hood at the Colorado Supreme Court as well as an intern at the University of Denver Veterans Advocacy Project. He was also a staff editor and later an articles editor at the Sturm College of Law Water Law Review.
