The firm opened new offices in Burlington, Colorado, and Goodland, Kansas.
Denver, Colo. – Litigation firm Richards Carrington announced it has partnered with well-known Eastern Colorado attorney Jeff Cure, who specializes in transactional work, trust/estates, and agribusiness. The addition creates expansive litigation support for the agricultural communities in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas.
Cure joins the firm as a partner and will continue to be based out of Burlington, Colorado. Cure is licensed to practice in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska.
“I’m excited to join the team at Richards Carrington,” Cure said. “It’s an excellent opportunity for me to deepen the support I have for my agricultural clients, ensuring they have every resource I can possibly give them to be successful in their business.”
“This community of farming and ranch businesses — our firm cares deeply about them. Partnering with Jeff and his team at Cure Law gives us the opportunity to do our part in addressing what we see as a widening legal desert on the eastern side of the state,” said Chris Carrington, a partner at Richards Carrington. “Bringing Jeff and Cure Law on board is just one of the many ways we can continue to deepen our relationships with the hard-working, unsung individuals who feed Coloradans every day. It’s a privilege to continue to support Colorado’s agricultural community.”
Cure grew up working on his family’s farm near Burlington. After graduating from Burlington High School, he received an undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
In addition to his law practice, Cure owns a crop insurance agency and he, and his wife Sara Cure, operate a corn and wheat farm in eastern Colorado and western Kansas. His direct involvement on the farm gives him a unique perspective when approaching legal matters for his farming and ranching clients.
“Jeff just fits in so well with our team at Richards Carrington, it was only natural for him to take this next step with us,” partner Doug Richards said. “We’ve been co-counseling with him for years on cases in the eastern plains so we’re all excited and energized to have him as a more permanent addition at the firm.”
Along with the addition of Cure, and as part of its expansion to better serve its agricultural clients, Richards Carrington opened new offices in Burlington, Colorado, and Goodland, Kansas.
