A Denver district court judge agreed with Street Media Group (SMG), a billboard company based in Loveland, CO represented by Chris Carrington, that CDOT has given preferential treatment to some of the state’s larger billboard companies, allowing them to skirt certain regulations while repeatedly denying permits to SMG. According to the judge, CDOT’s treatment of SMG was “without rational basis…abusive,” and ultimately in violation of the company’s equal-protection rights.
