Boulder Daily Camera Interview: Lindsay Richardson Urges Caution in UC Sexual Assault Investigation

As campus protests mounted at the University of Colorado Boulder following the arrest of a male student for an off-campus sexual assault, Boulder Daily Camera reporter Madeline St. Amour spoke with Richards Carrington’s Lindsay Richardson about the legal and administrative challenges that high-profile cases present for school administrators. Richardson notes that schools must proceed cautiously in the early stages of an investigation to ensure that all parties are protected and ensured their constitutional rights to due process.

“The rush to judgment is really dangerous,” she told the Daily Camera. “It threatens the semblance of our whole idea and foundation of due process.”
